If it doesn’t come from the heart, music just doesn’t work
— Levon Helm

My music draws from my life experience; spiritually, soulfully, intellectually, and emotionally. All of my songs represent my musical influences like soul music, blues, jazz, and rock. Deeply soulful, funky, melancholy music with ultimately a message of hope. That’s how I write my music. That’s how I sing my music. I lay my heart on the table and reach you in places that you feel. Music is my therapy. My lyrics are my therapy.

I began my career as a professional musician and singer in New Orleans, performing in R&B clubs. As a teenager I performed with Mary Wells (Motown artist with the hit “My Guy”) and Eddie Kendricks and David Ruffin, the original lead singers of the Temptations (Motown). I appeared on Solid Gold and American Bandstand with Arista recording artist, Paul Davis, who had a long list of hit songs in the ‘80s ("I Go Crazy", "'65 Love Affair" and "Cool Night"). After touring with Paul Davis, I moved to New York City where I expanded into television. I soon found myself writing and producing music for Sesame Street.  Later I moved to Boston and managed an independent record label DMI, producing albums and performing concerts in Europe with my band The Radicals. Most recently I toured Mediterranean countries as well as The Caribbean, performing my soulful music for huge audiences and extending my fan base.

Musically influenced by Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Steely Dan and Leon Russell, these influences are evident in the music I write and sing. Now that I am back in the NYC area I am happy to perform shows with some of the best singers and musicians NYC has to offer.
